Seniors Living Village | Accommodation Provided | 2 x 5-Hour Shifts
We are seeking a reliable and community-minded Live-In Caretaker to support our seniors living village by providing out-of-hours onsite support, with accommodation provided as part of the role.
This role is well suited to someone who enjoys being part of a close-knit community, is comfortable working independently, and takes pride in creating a safe and well-maintained environment for older residents.
About The Role
The Live-In Caretaker resides onsite and provides after-hours support to residents and the village, outside of standard business hours.
The role includes 2 x 5-hour shifts per week, with accommodation provided in exchange for availability and presence onsite. Additional hours may be available from time to time.
Key Responsibilities
Provide out-of-hours support to residents for non-clinical mattersRespond to after-hours calls and escalate issues where appropriateAct as an onsite point of contact during evenings and weekendsConduct basic site checks and report maintenance or safety concernsAssist with minor, non-trade maintenance tasks (where appropriate)Support emergency situations in line with village proceduresMaintain a calm, respectful and reassuring presence within the villageLiaise with Village Management as required
About You
Reliable, approachable and comfortable living onsiteExperience in a caretaker, maintenance, facilities, security or similar role (desirable)Strong communication skills and a resident-focused approachAbility to remain calm and responsive in after-hours or emergency situationsPractical mindset with good attention to safety and detailWillingness to undergo a police check and relevant background screening
