Senior Service Technician (Electrical)
Location: Moorebank (Sydney) distribution centre
Employment type: Permanent full‐time
Environment: State‐of‐the‐art Automated Case Picking solution operating 24/7.
Responsibilities
* Diagnose and resolve complex electrical and mechanical faults across automated systems
* Lead technical response during system outages, ensuring safe and timely recovery
* Improve asset performance through corrective maintenance, system modifications, and optimisation initiatives
* Analyse performance data and control system diagnostics to prevent service disruptions
* Coach and mentor technicians, building technical capability within the service team
* Deliver training to uplift electro‐mechanical and automation skillsets
* Collaborate with site leadership and engineering teams to enhance system availability and maintainability
Qualifications
* A Grade Electrical Licence (essential)
* Qualification in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline
* Strong electro‐mechanical fault‐finding and rectification experience in automated environments
* Hands‐on expertise with field devices such as inverters, sensors, scanners, gearboxes, drives, and bearings
* Clear communication skills with demonstrated leadership or mentoring experience
