With a strong reputation for technical excellence and client-focused solutions, this organisation supports innovation across the pharmaceutical and medical device industries.An exciting permanent opportunity is now available for an experienced Laboratory Manager to join the team and take responsibility for day-to-day laboratory operations, with a particular focus on optimising workflows.In this role, you will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer and lead a multidisciplinary team of approximately twenty staff, including four direct reports across Scientific Affairs, Special Projects, and Specimen Reception.As Laboratory Manager, your core responsibilities will include:Leading laboratory operations across specimen handling, scientific affairs, and special projectsImproving turnaround times and workflow efficiency within the specimen reception functionFostering a motivated, accountable, and engaged team cultureDriving continuous improvement across systems, standard operating procedures, and training programmesCoordinating any testing services outsourced to external laboratoriesSupporting strategic business objectives through timely reporting and insights to senior leadershipEnsuring full compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory requirements, (NATA, GCP, GCLP)Being available for client enquiries and regulatory inspectionsPromoting a collaborative and solutions-focused working environment across all departmentsThis leadership position will give you the opportunity to influence laboratory performance within a high-impact organisation.
