The Opportunity:
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a
second or third year law student
to join our Team in our Raymond Terrace office.
In this casual role (
minimum three days per week, working Thursday, Friday & third day of your choice
) supporting the Personal Injury team, you will engage in diverse legal functions and administrative tasks. It is ideal for candidates who thrive in a dynamic and bustling work environment.
This role is an excellent opportunity to gain experience working in a personal injury team, develop your legal skills and apply what you are studying.
Key Responsibilities:
* Liaising with clients
* Preparation of correspondence, court documents, statements, and subpoenas
* Attending court and settlements
* Legal research and court filing as required
* Extensive file and document management
* Proactively managing solicitor and client requests/inquiries
* Providing high-level support to professional staff within the team
Successful Candidates Will Have:
* Completed their first year of study in their Undergraduate University Law degree (preferred)
* Availability to work Thursday & Friday
* Excellent typing skills with a high attention to detail
* Ability to prioritise work and manage competing deadlines
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Confident, professional, and empathetic phone manner
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and Outlook skills
