Job Description
We are seeking multiple full-time lawyers to join our team based in Wodonga, VIC. As a lawyer with our organisation, you will be responsible for delivering legal advice, casework, and representation in family law/family violence or civil law matters.
* Deliver legal advice and casework in family law/family violence or civil law matters.
* Represent clients in courts and tribunals as appropriate.
* Maintain accurate records and comply with professional standards.
* Participate in community legal education and stakeholder engagement initiatives.
* Provide holistic support in collaboration with allied community services.
Qualifications & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
* An unrestricted practising certificate in Australia (or eligibility to hold one).
* A current C Class Driver's Licence and Working with Children Clearance and a clear National Police Check.
* Court advocacy experience in family law, family violence, or civil law matters.
* Familiarity with the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia and Magistrates' Court processes.
* Interest or experience in cross-jurisdictional issues such as tenancy, credit, debt, or family violence.
* Understanding of trauma-informed practice and working with disadvantaged communities.
