Planning and Building Administrator– Permanent Part-Time, 24 hours per week, Monday to Wednesday.
Located in Colac Otway, Colac, about two hours south-west of Melbourne.
We are seeking a friendly team player to join our Planning and Building team as Planning and Building Administrator in a Permanent Part-Time capacity, 24 hours per week Monday to Wednesday.
This position is based in Colac.
Overview
As Planning and Building Administrator you will provide customer-focused, professional administrative support to the Planning and Building units, ensuring service excellence aligned with Council's values and best practice standards.
You will deliver efficient and effective administrative support in compliance with relevant legislation, guidelines and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Provide administrative support to the Strategic and Statutory Planning teams, the Building team and the Planning Compliance officer.
Register incoming planning, building and subdivision applications.
Refer planning, building and subdivision applications to internal departments and external authorities.
Perform general administrative duties, including processing mail, filing, organising meetings and site visits, and arranging mailouts.
About You / Requirements
Demonstrated strong administration skills and experience in a busy, service-focused office environment.
Demonstrated highly developed customer service experience in related roles.
Ability to prioritise tasks and make sound judgements between urgent and important work.
Well-developed organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access and Outlook) and Internet.
Well-developed interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
Ability to be flexible and work as part of a team.
Understanding of planning and building related legislation and statutory processes is desirable but not essential.
Current driver's licence.
Salary & Benefits
Salary information: $34.02 to $35.84 per hour plus superannuation.
