About the Role
Reporting to the Executive General Manager – Building & Construction, the General Manager – Building Services is accountable for the end-to-end performance of the service line, including strategy, P&L, project delivery, people leadership, customer relationships and WHSEQ outcomes.
This senior leadership role suited to a commercially astute construction professional who can balance strategic leadership with operational excellence and thrives in a high-accountability environment.
What You Will Do
Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Building Services business.
Hold full
P&L accountability
, driving financial performance, margin and sustainable growth.
Lead and develop senior leaders and multi-disciplinary teams across multiple concurrent projects.
Oversee project delivery to ensure outcomes are achieved safely, on time, within budget and to quality standards.
Provide executive oversight of commercial, contractual and procurement activities.
Champion a strong
safety-first culture
, ensuring compliance with WHSEQ legislation and McMahon Services systems.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, suppliers, and industry stakeholders.
Drive business development, pipeline growth and service capability expansion.
Promote innovation, continuous improvement, and adoption of new technologies and best practices.
Contribute as a member of the senior leadership team to broader organisational strategy and performance.
What You Will Bring
Extensive building industry knowledge.
Extensive experience in construction project delivery, ideally across building and building services.
Demonstrated success in a senior leadership or general management role.
Strong commercial and financial acumen, including P&L management.
Experience leading large, multi-disciplinary teams and developing future leaders.
Sound knowledge of contract management, risk management and WHSEQ compliance.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
The ability to lead through influence, accountability and example.
