About the Role
Capricorn is currently looking for a self-motivated, experienced, and professional Paramedic/ESO to join our team at the Karlawinda Gold project in the Pilbara region. In this role, you will work closely with all site personnel to provide a team-based approach to our site's medical service needs. This includes emergency response, patient clinical care, injury management support, and fitness for work assistance.
This role is offered on a 14:7 roster and day-to-day responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
* Primary medical and emergency treatment
* Co-ordinate off site referral processes through injury management and medical providers
* Provide timely reporting and updates on status of injuries
* Management of the medical centre and equipment/consumables
* Co-ordinate and administrating drug and alcohol screening tests as and when directed, including sample collection, and screening where necessary.
* Prepare and maintain medical and health related records and registers
* Review pre-placement medical assessments
* Prepare for and participate in emergency scenarios and training
* Other duties related to the provision of health and safety activities as appropriate to support the site Health and Safety Team
About You
* Bachelor of Science (Paramedicine) or similar
* Minimum 2 years paramedic experience for an Australian, New Zealand or United Kingdom jurisdictional ambulance service
* Current and unconditional AHPRA Registration
* Hands on, enthusiastic attitude, initiative, and good teamwork
* Current WA class C manual driver's licence
* National Police Clearance Certificate (current to within 6 months of appointment)
* Be able to pass a Pre-Employment Medical including drug and alcohol testing.
* Advanced Life Support Level 1 and Level 2 (Desirable)
* Remote mining experience (Desirable)
* Mental Health First Aid certification (Desirable)
* Drug and Alcohol Testing trained (Authorised DAS Collection Officer)
* Certificate III in Mine Emergency Response (Desirable)
* Certificate IV Work Health and Safety (Desirable)
* Must have the Right to Work in Australia
