We are seeking a highly skilled Microsoft Purview Specialist to join a key engagement, working hands‐on within a live enterprise environment to establish a practical, production‐ready data governance baseline.
The Opportunity
This is not a consulting or advisory role.
You will be embedded within the client environment, taking direct ownership of implementation, configuring controls in real‐time to ensure sensitive data is protected, access risks are reduced, and the organisation is ready for secure AI (Copilot) adoption.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for delivering a working governance baseline in production, including:
* Designing and implementing a practical data classification model (Public, Internal, Confidential, Highly Confidential)
* Configuring sensitivity labels and protection policies using Microsoft Purview
* Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange)
* Power Platform
* Strengthening access controls and governance across SharePoint and collaboration environments
* Reviewing and optimising Dynamics 365 / Dataverse security models
* Reducing risks such as over‐permissioning and uncontrolled external sharing
* Preparing the environment for secure Copilot / AI enablement
The focus is on getting controls live and working, not producing design documentation.
Technical Environment
You will work across a modern Microsoft ecosystem including:
* Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange)
* Dynamics 365 / Dataverse
* Power Platform
What Success Looks Like
* Sensitivity labels actively applied and adopted by users
* DLP policies functioning effectively with minimal business disruption
* Key data sources secured and aligned to classification standards
* Access risks identified and remediated
* Environment ready for controlled AI/Copilot rollout
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a hands‐on, delivery‐focused specialist with:
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 security & SharePoint governance
* Experience with Dynamics 365 / Dataverse security models
* Ability to work independently and deliver directly within a live tenant
Experience in government or regulated environments is highly regarded.
