About The Role
Position of Staff Specialist/Consultant Psychiatrist will support the development, clinical governance and clinical activity within the Adult Mental Health Service, at West Moreton Hospital and Health Service (West Moreton HHS) with a focus on the needs of consumers presenting with acute mental health needs.
About You
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
* Demonstrated extensive knowledge, expertise and skill in the assessment and clinical management of people with mental illness in a specialised mental health service setting.
* Demonstrated high level interpersonal, communication, consultation and negotiation skills including the ability to provide high level clinical leadership, advice and direction within a multidisciplinary team and to relevant stakeholders.
* Demonstrated commitment to leading mental health recovery model of care, evidence based practice and continuous quality improvement to enhance service delivery outcomes.
* Demonstrated expert knowledge of National and State Mental Health directions and legislation relevant to the provision of specialist mental health services.
* Demonstrated experience in the provision of effective training to junior medical staff.

* Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
