Responsibilities
* Provide technical expertise and support for IP-based communication systems and network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, microwave links).
* Perform upgrades, configuration, and maintenance on both physical and virtual network devices.
* Act as an escalation point for operational teams, ensuring prompt resolution of technical issues.
* Develop, review, and maintain system documentation, test procedures, and knowledge management resources.
* Support server infrastructure (Windows & Linux), Active Directory, and related applications.
* Participate in on-call support rotations as required.
Required Skills/Qualifications
* 3+ years' experience in a network engineering or equivalent role supporting sophisticated communications networks.
* Strong IT and network administration skills, including fault finding, configuration, and maintenance of servers and network devices.
* Experience with Juniper Networks (JNCIA preferred) and understanding of radio/microwave communications systems.
* ITIL certification or equivalent operational knowledge.
* Tertiary qualifications in Electronics, Computer Systems Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
