* **Lead greenfield development of crisis plans for Australian cash distribution services*** **Contribute to improving the safety and resilience of the Australian cash system*** **Join a collaborative and high performing team****We are looking for a motivated Manager or Lead Analyst for a 6 month term to help drive forward our crisis planning efforts.**Join a team that is developing and implementing crisis arrangements for Australia's cash distribution system!**About the team**The Payments Policy Department is looking for a Manager to help prepare to use new crisis powers for cash distribution services. The focus of the role will be preparing to manage a crisis at a provider of critical cash services.Payments Policy is responsible for helping the RBA meet its objectives of promoting the stability, efficiency and competitiveness of the payments system. This includes crisis management responsibilities. Cash crisis response is expected to be added to our suite of responsibilities soon, with new powers to support this role currently under development.The role sits within our clearing and settlement (CS) section, allowing us to draw on the knowledge and experience of our CS crisis team.**About the role**You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team of professionals developing the tools and processes required to support continued provision of cash to the Australian public. You will work with the team to develop strategies to support the continuity of cash distribution and be responsible for building the RBA's crisis management toolkit to effectively execute those strategies. This role is an opportunity to shape the RBA's approach to crisis management in a new area where [there is a critical need for rapid development of effective outcomes]. Day-to-day activities include:* Leading work to develop and test crisis management plans for critical cash services* Leading work to develop robust and legally sound processes and arrangements to deploy crisis management powers* Collaborating closely with other parts of the clearing and settlement section, legal section, cash subject matter experts from Note Issue Department, and the wider RBA* Supporting engagement with stakeholders including other domestic regulators (Treasury and ACCC) and critical cash service providers* Working with RBA executives and the Payments System BoardYou will join a collaborative team dedicated to public service.
