About The Role
Band 5 - base salary from $121,231 per annum (plus super) - total package to be negotiated with preferred candidate based on skills and experience
At TasNetworks, we're looking for a motivatedVegetation and Insurance Specialistto play a key role in keeping our network safe and reliable by supporting the planning and delivery of vegetation management programs, while also contributing to the effective coordination of our insurance operations.
This is a great opportunity for someone with strong analytical, organisational and communication skills who enjoys variety, collaboration and contributing to programs that directly protect our people, our customers, and the environment.
Duties Of The Role Include
Support the planning, delivery and tracking of vegetation programs across the state.
Maintain and improve vegetation management plans and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and audit readiness.
Assist with risk profiling, incident reviews and the development of proactive vegetation management strategies.
Help evaluate innovative and resilience-based approaches to managing vegetation risk.
Coordinate contractor and partner reporting to ensure safety, reliability and performance standards are met.
Provide administrative and reporting support to insurance operations, including renewals, registers and claims tracking.

You'll Also Bring
A tertiary qualification in Risk, Asset Management, Business, Environmental Management or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Strong analytical and research capability, with the ability to track performance and manage detailed documentation
Confident communication and positive relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and work effectively across all levels of internal and external stakeholders
Solid skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint, and enthusiasm for learning new tools and systems
A proactive, safety-first mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement and sustainable outcomes
A keen interest in vegetation risk, network resilience or asset management, with experience in GIS, Power BI, SQL, DAX or Python, and a solid understanding of regulatory or risk-based programs in utilities or infrastructure (desirable)
