Renewable Energy Engineer Leader
SunDrive is a solar technology start-up based in Sydney with a mission to unlock the full potential of Solar.
We originated from a PhD project in a Sydney garage and have advanced to developing some of the world's most efficient commercial-sized solar cells.
Our breakthrough lies in replacing costly silver with abundant copper in solar cell manufacturing, significantly reducing costs and enhancing sustainability.
This innovation has led to a record-setting 26.41% efficiency in mass-production-compatible heterojunction (HJT) solar cells.
We are backed by major Australian investors, including Mike Cannon-Brookes' Grok Ventures, Blackbird, and an ex-Australian prime minister.
While being supported by the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA), SunDrive is at the forefront of Australia's renewable energy transition.
