Brothers Leagues Club (Cairns) Ltd is a not‐for‐profit hospitality and community organisation operating Brothers Leagues Club, Fuller Sports Club, and Stan Williams Park. Together, our venues deliver quality dining, gaming, entertainment, and sporting experiences across Far North Queensland. Brothers Leagues Club features multiple dining outlets, bars, entertainment spaces, and a modern Gaming Lounge, while Fuller Sports Club—home to the Edmonton Bowls Club—offers The Bistro, Fuller Sports Café, and a contemporary Sports Bar. With a dedicated team of over 100 staff, we are committed to excellence, innovation, and creating welcoming experiences for our valued members, guests, and local community.
The Role
We have 3 full-time positions available – 2 based at Brothers Leagues Club and 1 based at Fuller Sport Club.
As a Chef at our Clubs, you'll play a key role in delivering exceptional food and service. Your responsibilities will include:
* Preparing and presenting high-quality dishes with precision and flair.
* Supporting the smooth operation of our food outlets.
* Assisting the Head Chefs with menu development and recipe creation.
* Maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen environment.
* Collaborating with a supportive team to deliver consistent excellence.
What We Are Looking For:
* 1–2 years of experience in a similar role with a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
* Strong attention to detail and presentation.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Reliability, flexibility, and the ability to thrive under pressure.
* Sound knowledge of WHS and food safety standards.
* Availability to work weekends and public holidays and flexibility to work across our venues.
