Business Development Manager – FMCG (Grocery/Retail Channel)

About the Role
The Business Development Manager will drive our client's growth across the NSW grocery and retail landscape. You will be instrumental in introducing our client's diverse product range to major grocery chains, independent retailers and specialty stores, playing a key role in building the brand's presence within the Melbourne and Sydney markets and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute strategic business development plans to acquire new retail and grocery accounts
* Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers at grocery chains, independent stores, and specialty retailers
* Collaborate with the marketing and operations teams to align product offerings with market demands
* Negotiate terms, manage promotional activities, and oversee successful product introductions
Your Background
* 5+ years in FMCG sales, specifically targeting grocery retail channels
* Proven track record in securing new accounts and driving profitable sales growth
* Strong understanding of Australia's grocery retail landscape and existing relationships within this sector
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and strategic relationship management skills
* Proactive, results-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
* Experience working with multicultural or niche food products preferred
* Familiarity with halal-certified products and an understanding of their significance in diverse communities
* Previous experience launching international food brands into the Australian market
* Passion and appreciation for Turkish Mediterranean cuisine and culture
