Key Responsibilities:
* Lead Bid Management: Take ownership of complex bids from inception to submission, ensuring competitive and compelling proposals that align with their capabilities and strategic goals.
* Drive ECI Projects: Manage and foster collaborative relationships during Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) phases, providing crucial insights and value engineering to optimize project outcomes.
* Develop Robust Programmes: Create comprehensive and accurate project programmes, integrating all pre-construction activities and providing a clear roadmap for successful delivery.
* Strategic Leadership: As a key member of our leadership team, you'll contribute to strategic decision-making, identify new opportunities, and mentor junior team members.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with clients, consultants, and internal teams, building strong relationships and ensuring seamless communication throughout the pre-construction phase.
* Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks early in the project lifecycle, ensuring our bids and ECI projects are well-considered and financially sound.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in the Estimating or Design Manager space within the Australian construction industry, specifically in Queensland.
* Demonstrated success in being involved with complex bids and securing significant projects.
* The ideal candidate would be someone from a Tier 2 background.
* Extensive experience with Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) models and their successful implementation.
* Exceptional programme writing skills with a deep understanding of project scheduling software and methodologies.
* Strong leadership qualities with the ability to inspire, motivate, and guide project teams.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
* A strategic thinker with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
* A relevant tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
