About Kookaburra Park
Kookaburra Park is a boutique 'almost' farm-stay and campground in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. We're big on guest experience, animal welfare, safety and presentation standards, and we're looking for a good human who brings calm energy, initiative, and genuine pride in their work.
About the Role
This is a hands-on role supporting the day-to-day running of the park and helping deliver the Kookaburra Park experience from first enquiry through to check-in, stay and departure. You'll be trained and supported, but it suits someone who can work independently, communicate well, and jump in where needed.
Key Duties (what you'll actually do)
Guest services & communication:
* Help with check-ins, guest enquiries (in person and via email), park information, and escalating issues appropriately
Cleaning & presentation:
* Help keep cabins, amenities, reception/shop and shared spaces clean, stocked and guest-ready using checklists, correct chemicals and PPE
Shop support:
* Customer service, restocking, merchandising, basic POS, stock counts and low-stock/reorder notes
Bookings/admin support:
* Assist with inbox triage, replying to enquiries using templates, recording booking notes, and following up on questions within required timeframes
Animal care & feeding activities:
* Assist with animal routines and feeding activities (as rostered), safe handling, guest briefings, enclosure checks and water top-ups
Social media & content support:
* Help capture photos/videos around the park and assist with simple content tasks (draft captions, basic Canva edits, content ideas) as directed — all posting remains manager-approved
Accommodation cleaning, hospitality/tourism, retail/POS, stocktake/merchandising, food handling, animal handling, or basic content capture/editing.
* Weekend & peak period availability (school holidays / public holidays)
* Comfortable with hands-on work (cleaning, outdoors, busy days)
* Willing to follow WHS procedures, manual handling, chemical handling and incident reporting
* Ability to pass a National Police Check
* First Aid + CPR (required)
* Driver's licence preferred & reliable transport (hinterland location)
* Reliability matters here, if you're not confident committing to rostered shifts, this won't be the right fit.
How to Apply (Two Parts)
To apply for this role, there are two parts:
Part 1 - Provide A Short Video
Please include:
* A 60-90 second video (phone video is perfect, no fancy editing needed)
In your video, please cover:
* Your name & where you're based
* Why this role at Kookaburra Park suits you
* A quick snapshot of your background (work/study/life experience that's relevant)
* Any experience you have with guest service, cleaning/presentation standards, and/or animals
Please complete the scenarios below and share your response in writing.
A guest approaches you and says, "Hey, the amenities aren't up to scratch, and we're disappointed." What do you say, and what do you do next?
It's a peak period afternoon. A guest needs help, the shop is getting busy, and the amenities need a quick reset. How do you prioritise, and how do you communicate with the team/guests?
Please email your resume, video, and your chosen scenario response to:
