Senior Addiction Medicine Specialist Position
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced addiction medicine specialist to lead our team and provide senior clinical leadership. The successful candidate will support specialty training, promote patient safety and quality, and drive cross-service and cross-specialty expert care and training.
About the Role:
This is a permanent position with flexible working hours. As a member of the Alcohol and Drug Service senior leadership team, you will be responsible for providing senior clinical leadership, supporting specialty training, and promoting patient safety and quality across the Service, Drug Health, the Integrated Care Directorate, and the Hospital.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide senior clinical leadership and support specialty training in addiction medicine by delivering high-quality patient care and medical education programs.
* Promote patient safety and quality across the Service, Drug Health, the Integrated Care Directorate, and the Hospital through effective collaboration and strategic planning.
* Drive cross-service and cross-specialty expert care and training within and without the hospital by fostering partnerships and leading initiatives.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and service delivery by leveraging expertise and best practices.
Requirements:
* Hold or be eligible to hold specialist registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Hold Fellowship of the Australasian Chapter of Addiction Medicine, Royal Australasian College of Physicians or other relevant Australasian Specialist College.
* Demonstrate knowledge, skills, and high standards of clinical practice in addiction medicine commensurate to experience.
* Develop leadership skills that support and foster innovation to create a learning culture.
* A commitment to gaining the Fellowship of the Chapter of Addiction Medicine while working with the St Vincents Alcohol and Drug Services.
