Senior Systems Administrator Role
The Senior Systems Administrator will be a senior technical expert in a team responsible for coordinating and providing operational third-tier IT infrastructure maintenance and support.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide feedback to clients and management regarding the status of problems and service requests.
* Manage change activities associated with infrastructure provisioning.
* Analyse, advise on, recommend and plan maintenance upgrades or enhancements requests for IT infrastructure.
* Research problems and resolve issues to ensure reliable services.
* Provide third-level support and maintenance of the Departmental IT infrastructure.
* Understand client business drivers and contribute to client relationships by assisting in the analysis of their infrastructure environments and making recommendations for improvement.
* Develop and maintain procedures and guidelines to ensure continuous improvement of operations.
* Participate in the development, design, implementation and evaluation of IT related initiatives.
* Provide timely network, problem, and service management for IT services and facilities.
* Support junior engineers and technicians in the appropriate use and support of technologies.
