The Opportunity
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Electrical Engineering Instrumentation & Control Project Engineer to join our team in Wollongong. This role involves leading projects from conception to completion, focusing on maximizing efficiency, safety, and reliability in a heavy industry environment.
Responsibilities
* Manage all aspects of electrical instrumentation and control (I&C) projects, including design, procurement, installation, commissioning, and handover.
* Develop and implement I&C strategies for new and existing facilities, ensuring safety and project standards compliance.
* Collaborate with process engineers, electrical engineers, and contractors for seamless project execution.
* Oversee calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of I&C systems.
* Stay updated on I&C technologies and implement improvements for performance enhancement.
* Contribute to continuous improvement within the I&C department, fostering innovation and learning.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
* At least 5 years of experience in I&C design, implementation, and maintenance in heavy industry.
* Proven success in managing I&C projects from start to finish.
* Strong knowledge of control systems (PLC, DCS), instrumentation, and communication protocols.
* Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
