Your Role
Jump into this dynamic, mobile Field Service Technician's role, installing, servicing and maintaining state-of-the-art automated packaging and product-marking equipment at customer sites across Australia (Adelaide base with interstate travel).
You'll be the go-to expert, keeping high-speed production lines humming: deliver flawless installations, commission shiny new machines, perform upgrades, and diagnose/fix faults, fast. Expect a mix of electrical troubleshooting, mechanical repairs, PLC programming tweaks, robotic fine-tuning, and conveyor/pneumatic system work, all while interpreting AutoCAD drawings, technical manuals, and ensuring safety-first standards.
This is a hands-on, varied fieldwork role in a supportive environment where your technical skills directly impact client production success. Travel interstate when needed, work extended hours on shutdowns or urgent calls, and enjoy the freedom of being out in the field solving real-world challenges every day.
Is This You? The Ideal Candidate
You're a switched-on, A-Grade licensed tradesperson who loves the thrill of field service-getting hands dirty, cracking tough faults, and leaving sites better than you found them. With solid post-trade experience in industrial maintenance or automation service, you're confident across electrical, mechanical, and control systems. You thrive on variety, can handle travel and overtime, and bring a safety-focused, customer-first mindset. Problem-solver by nature, you're calm under pressure, great at communicating with clients and teams, and excited to work on diverse, high-tech packaging machinery.
Essential Skills
* Current A-Grade Electrical Licence (no exceptions)
* Post-trade experience in field service, industrial maintenance, or similar hands-on roles
* Strong mechanical aptitude with exposure to hydraulics, pneumatics, drives, conveyors, and/or robotics
* Practical PLC experience (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Omron or equivalent)
* Ability to read and interpret AutoCAD electrical/mechanical drawings and technical documentation
Desirable Skills
* Hands-on work with servo drives, robots/robotics, or automated packaging lines
* Experience in product coding/marking, labelling, or high-speed production environments
* Comfort with interstate travel, shutdowns, and extended hours
* Strong fault-finding and commissioning skills across mixed electrical/mechanical systems
