Company Description

For over 50 years, Each has stood beside individuals and communities, helping people live healthier, more fulfilling lives. We put people at the heart of everything we do, surrounding them with a network of care and support that empowers individuals to thrive.

Job Details

* Part‐time (0.6 FTE), ongoing – 3 days per week (Monday, Tuesday and Thursday)
* Based across Outer Eastern Melbourne kindergartens, on the lands of the Traditional Owners, with flexible working conditions on offer
* Competitive salary (Grade 2) + 12 % super + generous salary packaging benefits of up to $18,550

Make a difference early, where it matters most

At Each, our Community Health Paediatric and Counselling Service (CHPACS) delivers School Readiness Funded (SRF) programs that strengthen the capacity of kindergartens to support children's development, wellbeing and inclusion during the years that shape lifelong learning. This program works alongside educators, families and communities to build inclusive, supportive environments for children aged three and four—focusing on communication, wellbeing, and participation so every child can thrive as they transition to school.

Your role, your impact

As a Psychologist in the School Readiness Funded Program, you will play a vital role in supporting kindergarten educators to respond confidently and thoughtfully to the diverse needs of children and families. Rather than providing individual therapy, your work focuses on capacity‐building—helping educators strengthen everyday practice so children experience safe, inclusive and connected learning environments.

In this role, you will:

* Plan and coordinate service delivery with kindergartens and the SRF allied health team
* Lead capacity‐building work with educators through coaching, modelling, mentoring, group training and de‐identified case consultation
* Support school readiness outcomes, with a focus on communication, wellbeing, and inclusion and participation
* Build strong referral pathways between kindergartens and relevant community and health services
* Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, sharing knowledge and contributing to reflective practice
* Maintain accurate documentation and compliance, meeting service standards, policies and reporting requirements
* Use feedback and data to support continuous improvement and meaningful outcomes for children and educators

This is a role where your expertise supports not just individual children, but whole learning communities—creating ripple effects that last well beyond kindergarten.

Who We're Looking For

You are a thoughtful, values‐led practitioner who enjoys working alongside educators and communities to build confidence, capability and inclusive practice.

* Experience working with children, families or educators in early childhood, health or community settings
* Confidence delivering capacity‐building approaches, including coaching, training and consultation
* Knowledge of child development, wellbeing and school readiness
* An understanding of trauma‐informed and neuro‐affirming practice
* Strong communication and collaboration skills
* The ability to work autonomously while contributing to a supportive, multidisciplinary team
* Sound time management, documentation and digital skills

Mandatory Qualifications

* Relevant tertiary qualification in Psychology (with AHPRA registration)

What Will Make You Stand Out

* Experience working in kindergarten or early childhood education settings
* Knowledge of the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF) or National Quality Standard (NQS)
* Experience supporting inclusion, wellbeing or development through population‐level or systems‐focused approaches
* Training in programs such as SPARK Communication (Hanen)
* Confidence working with diverse communities, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and culturally diverse communities

What's In It For You

* Diversity & belonging – We value all backgrounds, abilities, and identities and are committed to cultural safety
* Supportive & inclusive culture – Work with colleagues and leaders who genuinely care
* Boost your take‐home pay – Not‐for‐profit salary packaging up to $15,900 tax‐free, plus $2,650 for meals and entertainment
* Free, confidential support – Employee Assistance Program for you and your family
* Fitness Passport – discounted access to hundreds of gyms, pools and fitness facilities nationwide
