* Help shape laws and policy that improve community safety. * Work on major reforms that support policing across Victoria. * Give advice to senior leaders and government decision-makers. * Join a skilled team and tackle complex public policy challenges. * A fixed-term, full-time role until 10th September 2027 earning $116,413 - $140,849 per year, plus super. What you will do As senior policy officer, you will help deliver policy and legislative reform that supports safer communities. You will work on important projects and provide advice that helps shape government decisions. You will: * develop policy, legislative and regulatory reform proposals * conduct research and analyse complex issues affecting policing and community safety * prepare clear briefings, reports, submissions and correspondence for a range of audiences * provide strategic advice to ministers, executives and decision-makers * build strong working relationships and contribute to a positive team culture. About you A law degree or equivalent qualification is desirable. You should be comfortable working with legislation, policy and government processes. You should also have: * strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex legislation * sound knowledge of Cabinet and Parliamentary processes * critical thinking and the ability to solve problems from different perspectives * excellent communication skills and the ability to build productive working relationships.
