A great opportunity has become available for a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our service team as an Agricultural Equipment & Machinery Technician (Occupation: Mechanical Engineering Technician, ANZSCO Code:
Position and Duties:
· Studying drawings of various agricultural equipment & machinery and sprayers and pumps for assembling, service, repair, diagnostics, overhaul, set-up, installation and maintenance.
· Overhaul and refurbish of trade-in sprayers and agricultural equipment & machinery and overhaul of pumps for re-sale.
· Attending breakdowns and performing repair and service work on the site of clients and/or on premises.
· Highly organised to be equipped with the appropriate tools before travelling to sites to attend service, repair or maintenance work for any agricultural equipment & machinery, sprayers and pumps.
· Liaise with parts interpreter staff to organise and source parts required for jobs internally in our store or from external suppliers.
· Strong Diagnostic & Troubleshooting skills to resolve electronic, hydraulic or mechanical problems or issues with agricultural equipment & machinery, pumps and sprayers. This includes conducting inspections, fault-finding, diagnostic checks & tech support.
· Assist manufacturing staff with modifications, assembly and repairs when required.
· Assembly of new equipment, machinery, implements and components when required.
· Maintenance and regular service routine of plant and vehicles if required.
· Implementation and Complying with WH&S Policies & Regulations.
· Liaise with customers and provide them efficient and professional customer service and advice.
· Paperwork needs to be completed thoroughly. Hours on jobs, parts used internally & sourced externally, travel, contract work, etc to be acknowledged on job sheets and accuracy with these tasks is of upmost importance.
· Discuss innovative ideas with management to implement and streamline existing work methods.
· Maintain and respect condition of property, vehicles, tools and equipment belonging to Guidolin Agrimac Australia Pty Ltd.
· Maintain a clean and organised work area all the times, keep your work vehicle clean and tidy inside & outside all the times. You must be well groomed and well presented always wearing company uniform during work hours and work as team-member with other employees and undertake other duties as instructed by management.
· You may be required to do truck deliveries and drive forklifts .
· You will be reporting to the Service Manager but need to work independently and unsupervised at times. You will be working as a team-member, need to have an eye for detail, co-ordinate incoming jobs and daily duties .
Key Responsibilities include:
· Assembly, Service, Repair, Maintenance and Modifications of various agricultural equipment & machinery, pumps and sprayers. Fault finding and solving problems.
· General workshop labouring duties including use of forklift. Work unsupervised.
Skills Required:
· Prior experience servicing agricultural equipment & machinery, pumps and sprayers or similar work experience with equipment & machinery.
· Knowledge and experience with mechanical systems, hydraulics and electronics will be an advantage.
· Mechanically minded with an eye for detail.
· Strong diagnostic & troubleshooting skills.
· Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
· Self-motivated, Reliable & Time Efficient.
This is full time 38 hours per week position with annual salary of $80,000 plus super @12% and paid annual leave and other benefits as per national employment standards of Australia.
The applicant must have appropriate qualifications of National Diploma in trade of Mechanical Engineering Technician or equivalent qualification and appropriate work experience of at least 2-3 years full time 38 hours per week and preferably work experience of 4-5 years will be highly regarded. The applicant must be fluent in English with respect to reading, writing, speaking and listening.
