Our client has 30 years of continuous operations and is a respected civil engineering and construction company with a strong reputation for quality, safety, and reliability in the rail, civil, utilities, water, defence as well as other sectors. The company also has an extensive in-house plant and self-perform operational capability. The company is now seeking a Chief Executive Officer to lead its next phase of growth. The incoming CEO will focus on expanding into new markets while improving profitability and embedding operational excellence through the recently developed Management Systems accredited to ISO standards. Chief Executive Officers, Chief Operating Officers or General Managers with capped growth potential in their current roles are strongly encouraged to apply. The business has a solid Turnover and capability and requires the next generation of leadership to achieve growth potential. Key Responsibilities include: • Strategic planning and execution • Business development and market expansion • Operational leadership across pre-contracts, estimating, and project delivery • Embedding and evolving the Management Systems • Effective stakeholder and Board engagement • Profitability improvement and sustainable growth • Enhancing the company’s profile within industry bodies and associations Qualifications and Requirements: • Extensive leadership experience in civil infrastructure, particularly in Tier 2, Tier 3 or self-perform contractors • Demonstrated ability to deliver small to mid-sized civil projects • Strong knowledge of commercial disciplines including SOPA, estimating, and contract negotiation • Proven track record of building effective teams and mentoring senior leaders • Strategic mindset with the ability to drive initiatives from planning to execution • Exceptional industry networks and stakeholder relationship skills • Collaborative leadership style • Commitment to HSEQ values and continuous improvement • Strong understanding of project risk management and review disciplines This is a permanent full-time position providing a great opportunity to work with a successful and growing organisation who offer challenging work and the potential for career progression.
