About The Opportunity
Aquinas College, Ashmore is seeking a passionate and dedicated Secondary Teacher to join our dynamic education team.
Responsibilities
* Creating a nurturing and ordered learning environment that is learner‐centred, supportive, cooperative, and aligned with relevant curriculum policies, documents, and practices.
* Collaboratively developing and implementing quality curriculum programmes and appropriate pedagogy, evaluating their effectiveness, assessing and reporting student progress and learning outcomes, and communicating these to students, parents, and the community.
* Working collaboratively with the leadership team, teachers, and other staff members in contributing to the professional life of the school and fostering a positive school culture.
* Proactively engaging with professional learning to enhance student learning outcomes.
* Establishing positive relationships in the pastoral care of students and supporting their spiritual and moral development.
* Ensuring that the teachings and values of the Catholic Church form a foundation for learning and teaching.
Qualifications
* Demonstrated ability to teach Mathematics for Junior Years students effectively.
* Willingness to teach in other subject areas within the Middle Years (highly desirable).
* Creating a supportive, learner‐focused classroom aligned with the Australian Curriculum.
* Expertise in designing and delivering effective curriculum programmes in line with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.
* Commitment to engage with colleagues, students, and parents/carers to enrich learning experiences and achieve the best educational outcomes for students.
* A passion to support students' spiritual and moral development.
* Non‐religious candidates are welcome.
Eligibility & Safeguarding Requirements
* Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.
* Current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers.
