We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading offshore contractor for a high-profile, multi-phase offshore campaign in the APAC region. This project involves advanced subsea survey operations and specialist construction support services onboard a dynamic and technically equipped vessel.
The scope includes Sparse LBL positioning, SprintNav integration, ROV-based multibeam echosounder surveys, and a range of complex construction tasks supporting subsea infrastructure development. The work is being carried out by a dedicated offshore team in a fast-paced, collaborative workplace, leveraging cutting-edge technology and industry best practices.

Role Summary:
The Survey Technician is responsible for the setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of survey systems and sensors onboard. The technician works closely with Online Surveyors and the Party Chief to ensure all hardware is operational and accurately integrated.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, calibrate, and maintain survey sensors and systems
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with equipment and networks
Support Online Surveyors with system integration and data flows
Maintain detailed equipment logs and assist with inventories
Ensure all equipment complies with project specifications and standards
Requirements:
Hands-on experience with survey electronics, sensors, and networks
Robust diagnostic and technical problem-solving abilities
Familiarity with SprintNav, USBL, MBES, and auxiliary systems
Willingness to work flexibly in varied offshore conditions
Qualifications & Experience:
Technical diploma or equivalent in electronics, engineering, or marine instrumentation
2+ years’ offshore experience in a survey technician role
Familiarity with survey equipment installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting:
Sonardyne USBL/LBL
SprintNav INS
MBES systems
Network configuration and sensor integration experience
Strong problem-solving skills and understanding of offshore HSE protocols
Offshore survival, medical, and BOSIET certification
Pay: $1,000.00 - $1,500.00 per day
Schedule:
12 hour shift
