Management Consultant – Government & Advisory
Location: Canberra (preferred) | Remote considered for the right candidate
Consulting | Client-Facing Role
We are seeking a Management Consultant to join our advisory team, primarily supporting Federal Government projects, while also working across a broader client portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with clients to identify business issues and root causes
- Contribute to and manage government projects or defined work packages
- Develop project plans, schedules, and deliverables
- Produce high-quality reports, tender responses, and client-ready outputs
- Apply government compliance, assurance, and governance frameworks
- Design and contribute to practical, fit‐for‐purpose solutions
- Conduct research and analysis to support decision‐making
- Support and coach junior team members
- Build strong client relationships through clear, confident communication
- Participate in business development, networking, and relationship building
- Work across government and non‐government clients
About you
Experience & Qualifications
- 3 years' experience in consulting, advisory, or a similar role
- Experience working on Federal Government projects (consulting or internal government roles)
- Understanding of government environments, compliance, and assurance
- Exposure to project, change, or business analytics methodologies (e.g. PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum, MSP, P3M3, Prosci)
- Experience producing client‐ready reports and deliverables
- Baseline security clearance or eligibility to obtain one
Education: Tertiary qualification in Business, Public Sector, Project Management, IT, Data, or a related discipline.

Citizenship Requirement
