About Us
This is an exciting opportunity to work in our State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA) who regulates three statutory insurance schemes in NSW. This role sits in our Media and Communications team in the External Communications stream. The Communications team promotes the value of SIRA to external audiences and ensures consistent information and messaging is shared within SIRA.

Your responsibilities will include:
* Creating pieces of key content for external audiences in collaboration with other teams to communicate key initiatives or outcomes
* Supporting the content production and editing of major publications, reports and other communications from across SIRA for external audiences.
* Championing the use of plain English across SIRA and maintaining the tools to support teams, e.g. SIRA Language Guide
* Offering expert guidance and training within SIRA on content development for external channels, ensuring communications are targeted, effective, and aligned with business priorities

About you:
* An experienced writer with minimum of 5 – 7 years writing and/or editing experience in a government or corporate environment.
* An analytical thinker who can think outside the box to solve complex problems.
* Be able to read and interpret complex information and create compelling content.
* Thrives around people, working towards collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* An understanding of government, legislative terminology and the regulatory space.
* Strong project and time management skills – you will be able to work to tight deadlines.
