About the role
We are delighted to offer the role of Team Leader to manage a team of Assembly Technicians producing high quality, defect free GroundProbe products (assemblies, spares, finished goods) for global distribution. You will champion safety leadership, deliver in full, on time, and in spec, and develop your team's skills to maximise production flexibility, optimise cost, and build career satisfaction.
What you will be doing
* Leading and developing the assembly team through daily huddles, regular feedback, and training plans to build capability and motivation.
* Championing safety and compliance, ensuring all activities meet SHES standards, hazards are eliminated, and equipment is maintained.
* Planning and managing production to deliver on schedule, maintain flexibility for volume changes, and uphold quality and efficiency standards.
* Driving continuous improvement by applying LEAN methodologies, defining missing processes, and supporting change initiatives.
* Collaborating effectively with internal stakeholders (Supply Chain, Engineering, Technology, Finance) to achieve operational goals.
What you will bring
* Experience and qualifications, including 5+ years in production and ideally supervisory experience, plus trade or engineering background (degree desirable).
* Leadership and communication skills to build, motivate, and manage a high-performing team while collaborating effectively across the organisation.
* Production management expertise, including planning, prioritisation, task delegation, and continuous improvement using LEAN methodologies.
* Technical capability with mechanical/electrical knowledge, proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel), and familiarity with tools like Confluence and JIRA.
* Problem-solving and strategic thinking, with the ability to manage trade-offs, drive innovation, and maintain a customer-focused approach.
