Job Description:


We are seeking a Safety Improvement and Investigation Advisor to join our team. This role is accountable for ensuring the safety and health of employees through the delivery of professional safety services, promotion, and management of the Mine Safety Management System.



Responsibilities:


* Maintain the Health and Safety Management Systems
* Assist frontline leaders in developing Health and Safety knowledge
* Coaching all workforce on safety management
* Maintain INX database
* Assist Incident reporting through SRS
* Interface with internal and external parties, such as Contractor Representatives, Shutdowns, Projects Team, DEMIRS
* Coaching Operational leads on Quality Interactions, including Planned Task Observations and Safety Conversations
* Conduct Health and Safety audits
* Facilitate risk assessments
* Lead Health and Safety Initiatives and improve safety management processes, such as Investigation Quality
* Coach personnel on safety tools such as task observations, Take 5, JSAs, inspections, and verifications
* Participate in Prestart and Information (PSI) meetings, Health and Safety Representative committee (HSR's) meetings and Toolbox meetings
* Facilitate incident investigations



Requirements:


* Tertiary qualifications in WHS or related discipline
* Minimum 2 years experience in resource safety role
* Knowledge of statutory safety requirements relevant to the processes
* Advanced PC skills and computer literacy i.e. Microsoft applications mainly excel/word
* Experience in Incident Investigation (ICAM certification - Essential Factors preferred)
* Ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment
* Strong commitment to safety and the environment
