About us
Northern Queensland Primary Health Network (NQPHN) is one of 31 regional Primary Health Networks (PHNs) established nationally by the Australian Government to help deliver an efficient and effective primary health care system for the people of Australia.
As part of the Australian Government's Aged Care On-site Pharmacist (ACOP) Program, PHNs are supporting residential aged care homes to connect with credentialled pharmacists and integrate them into care teams to strengthen medication safety and quality use of medicines.
NQPHN works closely with aged care providers, pharmacists, and primary care teams to help match facilities with appropriately credentialled pharmacists and support the successful implementation of the ACOP model.
About the role
We are seeking expressions of interest from pharmacists interested in current and future Aged Care On-site Pharmacist (ACOP) roles in northern Queensland.
Opportunities across the northern Queensland region are becoming available with the promotion of the ACOP measure, and we encourage interested pharmacists to submit an expression of interest to be considered for placements in their area.
Credential requirements
To participate, pharmacists must hold an existing Medication Management Review (MMR) credential and commit to completing an Australian Pharmacy Council (APC)-accredited aged care on-site pharmacist training program (or APC-accredited recognition of prior learning process) by 1 July 2026 .
