PERSOL is partnering with a leading aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) organisation specialising in fixed and rotary wing aircraft to recruit an experienced Stores Supervisor for their heavy maintenance facility based in Cairns, North Queensland.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and organised professional to play a key role supporting aircraft maintenance operations within a highly regulated and safety-focused environment.
About the Role
Reporting into the operational leadership team, you will oversee day‐to‐day stores and inventory activities, ensuring efficient freight coordination, stock control, compliance and operational support for engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate domestic and international freight movements.
* Manage goods receipting and stock issues.
* Support Aircraft on Ground (AOG) requirements.
* Maintain compliance with aviation regulations, security procedures and company operating policies.
* Supervise stores personnel, prioritise workloads, conduct periodic stocktakes.
* Maintain accurate records across business systems in line with regulatory and record‐keeping requirements.
About You
You will bring prior experience working within aviation stores or warehouse operations and understand the importance of accuracy, compliance and responsiveness within a maintenance environment.
Qualifications
* 3-5 years' experience within aviation stores, logistics or warehouse operations.
* Strong inventory control and freight coordination experience.
* Proficiency across Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
* Ability to obtain and maintain airside security clearance.
* Current Driver's Licence (essential).
* Forklift Licence and Dangerous Goods certification (highly regarded).
