The Role

We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Account Manager to join our team, based in Warragul, VIC. This role is primarily focused on managing a major account, while also identifying and developing new business opportunities within the region.

A key component of the role is ownership of a significant, high-value account recently secured in the area, ensuring exceptional service delivery, account growth, and long-term retention. Alongside this, you will proactively develop new customer relationships within a high-potential territory to support ongoing growth.

This field-based position offers a high level of autonomy, supported by our established Glen Iris hub and wider sales and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

* Account Management:
Develop and maintain strong, trusted relationship with existing major account. This includes weekly on-site stock replenishment, providing 24/7 emergency support, coordinating urgent or emergency deliveries, conducting quarterly contract review meetings across all sites, and delivering regular monthly reporting to ensure service excellence, satisfaction, and retention.
* Key Account Ownership:
Manage and grow a major, high-value account through proactive engagement, service excellence, and value-added solutions.
* Business Development:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the region to expand the customer base and support territory growth.
* Sales & Growth:
Achieve sales targets while driving sustainable and profitable growth across your portfolio.
* Administration & Reporting:
Manage contracts, maintain CRM accuracy, track KPIs, and provide regular reporting aligned to business objectives.
* Problem Solving & Negotiation:
Understand customer needs, resolve issues efficiently, and negotiate pricing and agreements where required.
* Collaboration:
Work closely with internal stakeholders including Sales, Operations, and Major Accounts Coordinators to ensure seamless service delivery.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

* Proven experience in Account Management, Sales, or a similar customer-focused role, with some exposure to business development activities.
* Strong relationship-building skills, with experience managing medium to large customer accounts.
* Commercially minded with the ability to identify growth opportunities within existing and new accounts.
* Well-developed organisational, administration, and reporting skills.
* Confident problem-solver with strong negotiation and communication abilities.
* Ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a team environment.
* Experience within safety, industrial, or related industries is advantageous but not essential.
* Full Australian working rights are required.
