About the Role
This hands‐on Purchasing Support role (internally titled Purchasing Administration Assistant) is ideal for an inquisitive, detail‐driven professional who thrives in a fast‐paced environment and enjoys working with Excel and data. You will work closely with suppliers and internal teams to ensure stock is ordered, tracked and delivered on time, while keeping system information accurate and aligned with current supply and pricing.
Duties
* Create, manage and consolidate purchase orders and requisitions
* Send daily orders and distribute supplier confirmations
* Monitor stock levels, analyse demand and update min/max stock settings
* Link sales orders to purchase orders and resolve discrepancies
* Track outstanding orders and maintain accurate order notes
* Coordinate deliveries between warehouse, 3PL and site locations
* Manage showroom pricing, live codes and display ticket updates
* Liaise with suppliers, sales, warehouse and accounts teams
Skills & Experience
* Strong problem‐solving skills with the ability to understand and follow complex procedures
* Proficient in Excel and a good understanding of formulas
* Confident communicator with an excellent phone manner
* Highly organised with strong planning and time management skills
* Positive, calm and can‐do attitude
* Plumbing or building industry experience desirable, not essential
