About The Role
Our Learning & Development Manager leads the end-to-end training and capability function across all Wilmar Sugar and Renewables sites, driving organisation-wide learning initiatives that lift capability, build leadership strength, and supports strategic future workforce needs. Reporting directly to the GM People & Culture, you will lead a regionally located team to shape our enterprise learning strategy, strengthen technical and professional pathways, and ensure our people have the skills to deliver on our long-term business goals. In this role, you will also be responsible for leading and monitoring compliance training programs to ensure regulatory and company standards are achieved.
Role Responsibilities
* Provide leadership, guidance and support to the L&D team, embedding a culture of collaboration, compliance and continuous improvement
* Identify organisational learning needs and capability gaps aligned to strategic and workforce plans
* Lead enterprise programs including leadership development, technical pathways, apprentices, graduates and succession initiatives
* Oversee and optimise training systems, processes, compliance programs and data integrity to lift quality, efficiency and regulatory alignment
* Evaluate learning effectiveness, manage analytics and drive continuous improvement across all programs and delivery modes
* Manage the training and development budget to ensure financial accountability and strong return on investment
About You
We are looking for someone who brings:
* Demonstrated experience leading L&D or organisational capability functions across a large or complex workforce
* Strong strategic capability, with the ability to assess organisational needs and design targeted capability programs
* Proven leadership experience developing and coaching L&D teams across multiple sites or regions
* Proficiency in learning systems (Litmos or similar LMS), with strong data integrity and reporting capability
* Relevant qualifications in Learning & Development, Human Resources, Training, or a related discipline
* Experience managing apprenticeships, graduates or formal development pathways in a large organisation
