The hospital is a 99-bed facility providing acute medical and surgical services, obstetrics, paediatrics, diagnostic and allied health services. The facility includes an emergency department, Level 3 Close Observation Unit, mental health unit and renal dialysis unit.
Adult Medical services include respiratory, cardiac, chemotherapy, renal and palliative care; Surgical services include general, orthopaedics, gynaecology, urology and ophthalmology.
Armidale is situated on the Northern Tablelands with outdoor activities and educational facilities nearby.

Requirements
* A qualified medical practitioner registered in Australia or eligible for registration with at least three years post-graduate experience and appropriate training.
* High level skills and involvement in clinical care, supervision, mentoring and teaching, with moderate degree of professional independence.
* Demonstrated skills in improving clinical care, patient safety and risk management, as well as effective interpersonal communication and team skills.
* Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and participate in continuing professional development.
* Commitment to public health system service objectives and resource utilisation.
This role will be responsible for maintaining strong relationships with healthcare providers while delivering quality patient care.
