We're partnering with a specialist 4WD suspension and repair workshop in Bassendean. They're expanding their team and are now seeking a Mechanical Trade Assistant to support suspension fitting, wheel alignments, repairs, and general workshop duties. Perfect opportunity for someone who loves cars and wants to grow into a long‐term, more technical or even white‐collar pathway — full training provided.

Your Role
You'll work alongside experienced suspension technicians, supporting the installation, repair, and maintenance of 4WD suspension systems. This role suits someone hands-on with a passion for vehicles and strong mechanical aptitude.
Responsibilities
* Fitting suspension components to 4WD vehicles
* Performing wheel alignments
* Inspecting suspension systems for wear, damage, or defects
* Diagnosing issues and assisting in repair recommendations
* Operating workshop tools, machinery, and equipment
* Cutting, welding, and fitting suspension parts (training provided)
* Testing and adjusting suspension systems for performance
* Maintaining accurate job records and parts usage
* Supporting customers and providing basic technical advice when required
* Following all workplace health and safety (WHS) procedures
What You'll Bring
* Experience in 4WD suspension or accessory fitting (highly desirable)
* Forklift licence + Manual driver's licence required
* Strong mechanical aptitude — love working on cars
* Willingness to learn, be trained, and grow within the company
* Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
