We are seeking a keen and reliable individual to join a well-established cooperage in the Barossa Valley. Known for quality craftsmanship and a strong team culture, this is a great opportunity to learn a traditional trade within the wine industry.
No previous cooperage experience is required. A genuine interest in woodworking, carpentry, or hands-on work is highly regarded, with full training provided.
About the Role
• Learn all aspects of barrel making
• Operate specialised machinery and work with fire pits for barrel charring
• Physically demanding, hands-on work
• Day shifts with a 9-day fortnight
• Opportunity for permanent full-time employment after training
About You
• Willing to learn and follow instructions
• Strong work ethic and reliable attitude
• Production or manufacturing experience desirable but not essential
• Current Australian driver licence and reliable transport
• Able to pass pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol testing
• Minimum of two contactable work-related referees
Additional Requirements
• Must have unrestricted working rights in Australia
• Applicants on 88-day visas or living overseas will not be considered
• Suited to long-term, locally based candidates
