Key Responsibilities:
· Lead and manage projects from planning through to completion, ensuring delivery to scope, time, cost, and quality requirements
· Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations
· Provide effective project governance, leadership, and coordination of internal teams and contractors
· Manage project budgets, cost control, forecasting, and variations
· Identify, assess, and manage project risks, with a strong focus on WHS, quality, and environmental compliance
· Ensure compliance with applicable legislation, standards, contracts, and IMS requirements
· Oversee contractor and supplier performance, including safety, quality, and delivery outcomes
· Engage and communicate with clients, stakeholders, regulators, and internal teams
· Implement quality assurance and control processes to ensure compliant project delivery
· Manage project changes, issues, and corrective actions
· Prepare and present accurate project reports and documentation
· Manage project close-out, handover, and lessons learned
Essential Criteria:
* Tertiary qualification in Engineering, (Civil, Mechanical, or related discipline), Project Management or Construction Management
* Proven experience managing projects within construction, infrastructure, or rail environments
* Strong knowledge of project controls, scheduling, budgeting, and cost management
* Demonstrated experience in contractor and supplier management
* Sound understanding of WHS, quality, and environmental obligations
* Ability to manage risk, change, and competing priorities in a live operational environment
* Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and reporting skills
* Ability to travel/work away from home when required
* Ability to pass pre-employment checks including CAT1 rail medical is a must.
Desirble Criteria:
· Previous experience delivering rail maintenance or rail infrastructure projects
· Experience working within live rail environments and operational interfaces
· Knowledge of rail safety standards, network rules, and asset management systems
· Experience managing on-track works, possessions, and rail contractors
· Familiarity with Australian rail regulatory frameworks and accreditation requirements.
Additional information
The position will be based out of our Telarah office with travel required for projects, throughout the Australian Railway networks.
The position will be subject to SRA employment conditions and supporting conditions in accordance with the Rail Industry Award.
