About The Role The Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Service Desk Analyst is responsible for delivering timely and effective first level ICT Service Desk support services for school, preschools and corporate-based customers throughout the Department for Education for South Australia (the Department). The ICT Service Desk Analyst utilises incident and request management processes to promptly restore normal service operations, efficiently fulfill standard service requests, or identify and assign them to the appropriate support teams. The role contributes to the continuous improvement of ICT Service Delivery operations and ensures efficient work practices to maximise ICT support service provision. Best practice processes are utilised, including the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework; these are combined with a high level of ICT technical and communication skills. This work contributes to the “Delivering Digital” ICT Master Plan and is focused on the ongoing improvement of ICT infrastructure services delivered to government schools and preschools. Qualifications Essential: Nil Desirable: ITIL v4 Foundations A tertiary qualification in an ICT related discipline or equivalent experience Special conditions The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.
