MEGT has a fantastic opportunity with one of our clients for a 1st or 2nd year apprentice in Melbourne!
About the Employer
Our employer operates within the commercial HVAC and refrigeration industry, delivering quality Heating Ventilation & Air Conditioning solutions across high end commercial projects. You will be working alongside experienced technicians on a variety of installation, service and maintenance projects, allowing you to build practical skills and confidence while completing your trade qualification.
About the role:
* Assist with the installation of refrigeration and air conditioning systems across high end commercial and some residential sites.
* Diagnose system faults and troubleshoot HVAC issues and supporting qualified technicians to identify mechanical, electrical or control-related problems.
* Ensure all systems operate efficiently and reliably, completing work in accordance with manufacturer specifications, Australian Standards, safety requirements and industry compliance regulations.
* Carry out repairs and component replacements such as compressors, fans, motors, valves and controls under supervision,
* Work across a range of residential and commercial HVAC projects, including new installations, upgrades, commissioning and ongoing service and maintenance.
What we're looking for:
* Reliable, dependable and mature minded
* White card
* Working at Heights
* EWP
* WWCC
* A valid Driver's License as you will be required to travel to sites
