Butter Production & Packing Team Member (Casual)
Ocean Grove, Victoria – Bellarine Peninsula
LardAss Butter is growing, and we're looking for reliable and motivated people to join our production team.
We are an artisan butter producer based on the Bellarine Peninsula, supplying restaurants, bakeries, retailers and customers across Australia. Our products are handcrafted using traditional methods, and we take pride in quality, consistency and attention to detail.
This role is focused on production, processing and packing within our butter factory.
About the role
This is a hands-on position working as part of our production team to meet daily output and quality standards.
Shifts are available across Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work.
• Operational hours: 6:00am – 4:00pm
• Typical start times: 7:00am or 9:30am
• Casual position (minimum 24 hours per week)
Early starts are an important part of this role, as production begins in the morning.
Key responsibilities
• Butter processing and churning
• Packing and preparing products for wholesale and retail
• Producing a range of items, including retail butter, food service portions, ghee and bakery sheets
• Working to a daily production schedule
• Maintaining product quality and consistency
• Packing, labelling and boxing orders
• Stock rotation and inventory handling (FIFO)
• Maintaining a clean, organised and hygienic workspace
• Assisting with stocktakes
• Supporting general production and dispatch tasks as required
• Providing occasional customer interaction for on-site visitors
Training will be provided in food safety, equipment use and manual handling.

About you
• Experience in food manufacturing or a similar environment (minimum 6 months preferred)
• Strong attention to detail
• Able to follow instructions and work efficiently within a team
• Reliable and able to commit to regular shifts
• Comfortable with physical work and being on your feet
• Good communication skills
• Ability to multitask and take initiative
• Australian work rights are required for this position
Experience in dairy processing is highly regarded but not essential.
You must be able to reliably commute to Ocean Grove.
