The HammondCare Volunteer program offers a meaningful way for you to make a difference in the lives of older people in The Shire.
Engage in activities you love, such as sport, art, pets, gardening, walking, yoga, baking, crafts, movies, music, coffee, and crosswords, and share these interests with someone who appreciates them too.
As a Volunteer Social Visitor, you will provide companionship and social interaction for older individuals living in their own homes.
This role can be highly rewarding, enhancing the quality of life for the elderly and reducing feelings of loneliness.
HammondCare participates in The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme, funded by the Australian Government, which fosters connections between elderly people and community volunteers.

Requirements
Be 18 years or older
Arrange and pay for a National Volunteer Police Check through HammondCare
We are happy to discuss a suitable schedule for visits, which can be as frequent as weekly or as spaced out as every two weeks, between 9 am and 4 pm, Monday to Sunday, based on your availability.
