Surgical Ward 2 is a 30 bed unit, specializing in the pre and post operative care of elective (ENT, urology, plastics, general surgical, vascular) and emergency surgery/ trauma patients. Primary responsibilities include General nursing duties, pre and post operative monitoring and observation, IV & CVAD management comprehensive patient assessment, escalation of deterioration, complex wound management and multidisciplinary care planning. Scholarships may be available for relevant postgraduate studies such as acute care certificate & wound management.
