Assistant Director, Procurement - Procurement & Supply. Employment Type: Full Time, Permanent. Classification: Senior Officer Grade C (PN 70578). Salary: $127,597 – $136,873 (Plus 12.5% Super). Location: Hume or Garran, ACT. Section: Procurement & Supply. Closing Date: 19 February 2026.
What You'll Do
The Chief Financial Officer Division is led by the Chief Finance Officer (CFO) who reports to the Chief Executive Officer of Canberra Health Services. The Division develops and maintains budgets, financial management, and delivers operational finance and performance reporting. The Procurement and Supply (P&S) Branch is part of the CFO Division and is accredited with Level 4 – Advanced (Lead Buyer) procurement accreditation. It manages CHS procurement requirements including acquisition, inventory management, invoice processing and delivery to hospital wards and other end users. P&S comprises four teams: Procurement Medical Equipment, Procurement Inventory and Services, Supply Chain, and Supply Operations.
This position reports to the Director, Procurement – Medical Equipment Team and is primarily located at Canberra Hospital. The role will have a strong focus on pathology and medical equipment procurement. We encourage applications from candidates with clinical or pathology experience, as well as those with demonstrated expertise in pathology-related procurement.
A merit pool may be established from this process and may be used to fill leave relief placements and other opportunities that arise over the next 12 months.
Prior to commencement, successful candidates will be required to undergo a pre-employment National Police Check.
