Our client, an established, medium-sized engineering and fabrication business in Western Sydney, is undergoing a successful transformation with new ownership and management team in place. They are currently seeking an experienced Press Shop Supervisor to oversee CNC brake press operations and ensure quality, efficiency, and safety in a busy workshop environment. You’ll manage a team of operators, optimize workflow, and contribute to process improvements that support the company’s growth objectives. Key Responsibilities Supervise and lead brake press operations, and supervise workshop personnel, fostering a culture of safety and teamwork. Plan and coordinate press shop activities to meet production schedules Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot issues Ensure all components meet quality standards and specifications Enforce WHS policies and conduct regular safety checks Identify opportunities for process improvement and support lean initiatives Maintain accurate production records and communicate effectively with management What We’re Looking For Trade qualification in metal fabrication, mechanical engineering, or related field. Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a press shop or similar manufacturing environment Previous leadership or supervisory experience Strong understanding of CNC press machinery, tooling, and metal forming processes Knowledge of WHS regulations and quality standards Forklift license and overhead crane experience (preferred) Key Attributes Strong leadership and communication skills High attention to detail and commitment to quality Problem-solving mindset and ability to work under pressure Reliable, organized, and proactive Safety-conscious and team-oriented Ready to take the next step in your career?
