**Purpose of this role**
This role is responsible for managing key processes through the operation to ensure the customer expectations are realistic and met, maintaining customer service excellence, looking for process improvements and enhancing safety and business profitability. Direct reports may include a Storeman and Threading Machine Operators.
- Drive best practice SHE performance throughout the team.
- Liaise with order entry functions to ensure orders are put into the system with accurate delivery dates and details, overseeing backorders to keep on top of customers needs.
- Managing the purchasing functions to make sure key raw materials are available when required or source special products as required.
- Managing the production functions to make sure product is ready to ship when required (based on agreed scheduling processes), managing hours worked and overtime efficiently.
- Liaising with the Commercial Operations team to ensure site deliveries are delivered as per customer requirements, using and updating project management spreadsheets as required.
- Managing the staff including SHE training and audits, inductions, general training and appraisals.
- Responsible, in conjunction with National Inventory Controller for inventory levels in Adelaide.
