Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Melbourne, VIC, for a General Practitioner at Mason Point Medical Centre. The General Practitioner will be responsible for providing comprehensive primary care services, including diagnosing and managing acute and chronic health conditions, performing minor procedures, and offering healthcare advice to patients. Duties also involve conducting health assessments, promoting preventive care, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient-centered care.
Qualifications
Possess a valid MBBS degree and be registered with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Sound knowledge and experience in diagnosing and managing acute and chronic medical conditions.
Skills in patient consultation, health assessments, preventive care, and treatment plans.
Experience in minor medical procedures and management of skin conditions, including skin cancer detection.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide empathetic, patient-focused care.
Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) is highly desirable.
Special interests in areas such as women's health, child health, chronic conditions, or other relevant fields are beneficial.
